III.EligibilityRequirements

1.Non-ChinesecitizenswithavalidpassportaspertheNationalityLawofthePeople’sRepublicofChinaareeligibleforapplication.Applicantsmustapplyoftheirownaccord,abidebythelawsandregulationsofthePeople’sRepublicofChina,complywiththerulesandregulationsofHPEC,andrespectlocalcustoms.

2.Applicantsmustbeagedover18,holdingahighschooldiplomaorabove,andaChineseproficiencycertificateofHSKBand4orabove.Thosewithoutsuchacertificatemayattendpreparatorycoursesforhalftooneyearbeforestartingcollegeeducation.

3.Applicantsmustbeingoodhealthwithoutanyinfectiousdisease.

4.ApplicantsmustmeettherequirementsforthepreschooleducationprogramstipulatedintheGuidingOpinionsonPhysicalExaminationofStudentsinGeneralInstitutionsofHigherLearningofthePeople’sRepublicofChina.(SeeAppendix4)

IV.TuitionFee

1.Application:free2.Tuition:9,000yuanRMB/student/year3.Accommodation:1,200yuanRMB/student/year(doubleroom)4.Textbooks:free5.Insurance:about800yuanRMB/person/year,accordingtothechargingstandardsofrelevantdepartments,withafloatingrate.

V.ScholarshipandBursaryPolicies

1.“StudyinHefei”GovernmentScholarship:40,000RMB/year

HPEChelpseligiblestudentsapplyforthe“StudyinHefei”governmentscholarship.Thescholarshipisawardedonceayear,andeachpersonhasoneopportunityforapplicationayear.Thecriteriaarespecifiedintheapplicationregulations.

Studentswhoreceivethescholarshipmustpayfortuition,accommodationandinsuranceandtheyarenoteligibleforcollegescholarshipsandgrants.

Thosewhofailtogainthescholarshipcanenjoycollegescholarships,bursariesandothergrants.

(1)LanguageproficiencyscholarshipSuccessfulapplicantsholdingaChineseproficiencycertificateofHSKBand5,Band4orBand3mayapplyforalanguageproficiencyscholarshiprespectivelyforRMB5,000,RMB4,000orRMB2,000.

(2)AcademicExcellenceScholarshipAccordingtotheevaluationoftheacademicachievementsandperformanceofthestudentsatschool,threelevelsofannualscholarshipswillbeawardedtostudents:ClassI,RMB3,000,ClassII,RMB2,000,andClassIII,RMB1,000.Thepercentagesofthestudentswinningthescholarshipsinaclassaredesignedtotake15percent,25percent,and30percentrespectively.

(3)OutstandingProgressScholarshipThosestudentswhoachieveoutstandingprogressinlearningChinesemayapplyforanoutstandingprogressscholarshipofRMB1,000uponeachbandupgradingintheHSKtests.

3.SchoolBursary

Tuitionandaccommodationarefreeofcharge.Insurance,healthcheckup,handlingofresidencepermitafterenteringChinaarecoveredforinternationalstudents.Otherexpensesarepaidbythestudents.

***-studyFinancialAidPolicy

Internationalstudentswhosefamiliesareindifficultywillbeprovidedwork-studypositions.Thosefulfillingspecifiedtaskswillgetlivingsubsidyof500yuanpermonth.

VI.AboutTeaching

1.Basedonthedevelopmentoftheepidemicsituation,theschooladoptedacombinationofonlineandofflineteachingmethods.Duringtheepidemic,onlineteachingisthemainmethod.Offlineteachingwillbeadoptedaftertheepidemic.

2.InordertostrengthenChineseteaching,theschoolwillprovidecorrespondinglanguageassistantsforeachclass.

VII.ApplicationProcedure

1.Applicantsmustsubmittheelectronicversionoftheapplicationmaterialsonline,andsendthescannedcopiestohfpecinternational@***.Theapplicationmaterialsincludethefollowing:

(3)Applicant’shighschoolgraduationcertificateandhighschooltranscripts(fordocumentsinlanguagesotherthanChineseandEnglish,attachnotarizedChineseorEnglishtranslations)

(4)ProofofChineseProficiencyTestresult

(5)StudyplaninChina(notlessthan800words),includingbutnotlimitedtoeducationandworkexperience,studyplan,andpersonalgoalsaftergraduation(inChineseorEnglish)

(6)Recommendationletter,coveringtherecommender’stitle/position,employer,contactnumber,emailandsignature(forlettersinlanguagesotherthanChineseandEnglish,attachnotarizedChineseorEnglishtranslations)

(7)Physicalcheckupreportwithinthevalidityperiod(sixmonths).TheapplicantshouldstrictlyfollowtheForeignerPhysicalCheckForm(Appendix2,whichmustbefilledinEnglish),andprovideadetailedreportofthebloodexamination.AForeignerPhysicalCheckFormwithanyitemunfilled,nophotooftheapplicantorphotounsealedontheperforation,nosignatureandstampbythedoctorandthehospital,isinvalid.BringtheoriginalformwhentheapplicantcomestoChina.
