       海南软件职业技术学院是2003年3月经海南省人民政府批准设立，教育部备案，由海南琼海师范学校升格而成的培养信息、软件行业的高端技能型人才的公办全日制高等职业院校，至今已有90年的办学历史。学院坐落在红色娘子军的故乡、博鳌亚洲论坛永久会址所在地、中国优秀旅游城市、全国精神文明建设示范城市、海南省东部中心城市——海南省琼海市市中心。
      学院占地326亩，建筑面积近16万平方米，固定资产总值约1.7亿元，教学科研仪器设备3897.17万元，纸质图书27.7万册，电子图书2382.51 GB ，教学用计算机2293台。建有4个中央财政支持建设的高规格职业教育实训基地；建有56个校内实践基地，52个校外实习实训基地，省级实验教学示范中心1个；建有千兆校园网、通讯网、监控网三网合一的信息化虚拟平台；建有大学生创业中心、软件研发中心、信息处理中心、艺术设计研发中心；设有第65国家职业技能鉴定所、“红旗Linux重点实验室”；是国家动漫产业振兴基地授权的“国家动漫游戏人才培养工程授权合作伙伴”、海南东部唯一的高等教育考点。
      学院设有软件工程系、网络工程系、信息管理系、数码设计系、电子工程系、艺术传媒系、外语与旅游系、基础教育部、社会科学部等9个系部。具有招生资格的专业27个，形成了以电子信息大类为主体，艺术设计传媒、财经、旅游、文化教育等门类为辅协调发展的专业布局。现有省级特色专业5个，省级精品课程7门，省级教学团队4个。
      学院现有来自全国27个省（区）市的全日制在校生6000余人， 教职工380人，专任教师264人，其中教授15人、副教授44人，讲师114人，具有硕士学位82人，具有博士学位（含在读）7人，具有双师素质的教师135人。同时，还聘有校外兼职兼课教师73人，客座教授（兼职）50人，外教3人。专任教师中有省委省政府直接联系重点专家2人，省“515人才工程”第一层次专家1人，省有突出贡献的优秀专家2人，省科技创新十大领军人物1人，省高校教学名师4人，省高等学校优秀中青年骨干教师1人。
      近三年来，学院教师荣获第二届全国青年教师师德演讲比赛一等奖、省科技进步奖一等奖和二等奖、省教学成果二等奖、省科研成果二等奖、省教学比赛一等奖、省自然科学优秀学术论文一等奖等省级以上奖励100多项；主持国家自然科学基金项目1项、国家子课题3项、教育部人文社会科学研究专项任务项目1项、全国高职高专英语类专业教学改革课题1项、省自然科学基金项目14项、省教育规划课题11项、省社科联课题2项、省高等学校科研项目39项；其他课题9项；出版教材44部；自编实验实训指导书199本；54篇学术论文被《SCI》、《EI》、《ISTP》等国际权威刊物检索收录。
      学院坚持特色立校、质量强校，秉承“人才为根本、教学为中心、技能为主线、质量为生命、特色为追求”的办学理念，坚持“以服务为宗旨、以就业为导向、走产学结合发展道路”的办学方向，实施 “实践主导，能力本位，校企合作”人才培养模式，推行“双证书”制度，推进实践训练与职业技能鉴定的接轨，办学规范，治学严谨，成果显著。学院学生参加国家级、省部级各类比赛获省级以上殊荣231项，其中，参加全国职业院校技能大赛、“高教社杯”全国大学生数学建模大赛、全国大学生电子设计竞赛、“红旗杯”全国大学生开源软件技术竞赛、“中国软件杯”大学生软件设计大赛、“泛珠三角安利杯”计算机作品大赛总决赛等国家级竞赛活动，获得一等奖7项，二等奖23项，三等奖23项；参加“泛珠三角安利杯”计算机作品大赛（海南赛区）、海南省职业院校技能大赛（高职组）、“高教社杯”全国大学生数学建模大赛（海南赛区）、“红旗杯”全国大学生开源软件技术竞赛、“天翼杯”首届海南省大中专学生平面设计大赛、全国大学生电子设计竞赛（海南赛区蓝盾杯高职组）等竞赛活动，获得一等奖28项，二等奖40项，三等奖64项。学院设有国家劳动和社会保障部职业技能认证、国家信息产业部IT职业技能认证等机构10个，工种（含不同等级）类别59种。近三年来，我院学生参加鉴定初次通过率达到87%，毕业生双证书年均获取率达95.52%。近三年毕业生就业率均在92%以上，用人单位对毕业生年均满意度高达93.83%，学院连续四年被评为“海南省普通高等学校毕业生就业工作优秀单位”。
      学院深化校企合作，先后与海南生态软件园、牡丹江牡大动画有限公司、海南英立科技开发有限公司、海南科力电子技术有限公司（中国惠普）、海南枫华动漫文化发展有限公司、海南图谋创意策划发展有限公司、深圳万泉河科技有限公司、琼海春晖实业有限公司、博鳌亚洲论坛大酒店、琼海电视台等50家企业建立校企联盟，构建校企合作互惠双赢格局。
学院具有招收外国留学生资质，并与立陶宛考纳斯应用科学大学、英国伯恩茅斯学院和普尔学院、美国西新墨西哥州立大学、澳大利亚新南威尔士州TAFE-西南悉尼学院、中山大学等国内外高校开展广泛的交流与合作。
       学院高质量的人才培养和良好声誉得到社会各界的充分认同与高度评价。学院被授予“全国文明单位”、 “全国学校艺术教育先进单位”、 “国家第一批教育信息化试点单位”、“海南省普通高等学校毕业生就业工作优秀单位”、 “海南省依法治校示范校”、 “海南省教育工委系统廉政文化进校园示范点”、“海南省学校安全工作先进单位”、“海南省家长满意学校”、“海南省十佳教育信用单位”、“海南省高新技术产业人才培训示范基地”、“海南省创新型科技人才培养先进院校”、 “海南省高等学校图书馆网络化建设合格单位”等荣誉称号。

Introduction to Hainan College of Software Technology
     Hainan College of Software Technology is a full-time public college of higher education, which is dedicated to providing its students with high-quality skills in information technology and software engineering. The college was commissioned by the Hainan Provincial Government and registered with the Ministry of Education in March, 2003. Its predecessor was Hainan Qionghai Normal School and has already had 90-year history by now. The college is located in the center of Qionghai City, which is the hometown of the Red Detachment of Women and the seat of Boao Forum for Asia. As the central city in the east of Hainan Province, Qionghai is not only one of the excellent tourist cities in China, but also one of the National Model Cities for Spiritual Civilization Construction.
     The college covers an area of 21.7 hectares and has a GFA of nearly 160,000 ㎡. The total value of fixed assets is about 170 million RMB, including 38.9717 million RMB teaching and research equipment, 2.77 million RMB volumes, 2382.51 GB electronic books, and 2293 sets of computer used for teaching. The college has 4 high standard vocational education training centers supported by the Central Financial Fund, providing 56 laboratories and training rooms on campus, 52 off-campus practice centers, and a provincial experimental teaching demonstration center. The college has built a virtual information platform integrating gigabit campus network, communications network and monitor broadcast television network. Moreover, located on campus are a “Students Office & Venture Office”, a “Software Research& Development Centre”, an “Art Design Research& Development Centre”, a “National Vocational Skills Certification Office” and a “Red Flag Linux Key Laboratory”. The college is an authorized partner of the“National Center for Developing Animation, Cartoon & Game Industry (NACG)”and the only test center of Higher Education Self-Study Examination in the east of Hainan.
     The college consists of 9 departments, namely Software Engineering, Network Engineering, Information Management, Digital Design, Electronic Engineering，Arts & Media, Foreign Languages & Tourism, Basic Education, and Social Sciences. Taking electronic information as the backbone and pursuing a harmonious development of arts design, media, finance, travel, language and culture, the college offers 27 specialties in all. Besides, it has 5 provincial characteristic specialties, 7 provincial excellent courses and 4 provincial-level teaching teams. At present, there are above 6,000 full-time students from 27 provinces (municipalities/ autonomous regions) in the college. The college has 380 faculty and staff members, among whom 264 are professional teachers, including 15 professors, 44 associate professors, 114 lecturers, 82 teachers who have master degree, 7 doctors (including doctor students), 135 “double-quality teachers” (theory and practice integrated teachers), 50 guest professors (part-time) and 3 foreign teachers. Two of professional teachers are important experts contacting the provincial party committee and provincial government directly, one is the first level expert of “515 Talent Project”, two are experts with outstanding contribution to Hainan, one is a provincial leader in science and technology innovation, four are“famous teachers in Hainan”, and one is “Provincial Excellent Young and Middle-aged Backbone teachers of Higher Schools”.
     In recent three years, its teachers have got above 100 provincial and national prizes, such as the first prize in the Second National Youth Teachers’ Morality Speech Contest, the first and second prize for Hainan Science and Technology Advancement, the second prize for Provincial Teaching Achievement, the second prize for Science Research, the first prize for Provincial Teaching Competition and the first prize for Provincial Natural Science Excellent Academic Thesis. The college has undertaken various kinds of research projects, including 1 project supported by the National Natural Science Foundation, 3 National sub-topics, 1 of Humanities and Social Science Research Special Projects hosted by Ministry of Education, 1 project in English teaching reform of national vocational and technical colleges, 14 projects supported by Hainan Natural Science Foundation, 11 Hainan Planned Project on Education and Science, 2 projects of Hainan Federation of Social Science, 39 research projects of Hainan colleges and universities, and 9 projects in other aspects. Meanwhile, our teachers have written or edited 44 monographs or textbooks and 199 guide books about experiments and training. 54 professional papers were published in international journals, such as "SCI", "EI", and "ISIP".
     The college is committed to putting quality in the top and pays much attention to creating its own characteristic. It upholds the principle of “talents as the key, teaching as the core, skills as the focus, quality as the life, and uniqueness as the goal”, adhering to the aim of “taking service as an objective, being employment-oriented, and insisting on produce-study development”. It carries out “Practice leading, Ability based and College-Enterprise Cooperation” training mode combining knowledge, ability and quality, and implements the “double certificates” system to promote the integration of practical training and vocational skills appraisal. Run based on regulations, the college has achieved remarkable results.
      Its students get rewarded in national level or provincial level competitions about 231 times. They won 7 first prizes, 23 second prizes and 23 third prizes in the following national competitions: National Skills Competition of the Colleges, “Higher Education Press Cup”National Mathematical Modeling Contest, National College Students Electronic Design Contest, “Red Flag cup” National College Students Open Source Software Technology Competition, "Chinese Software Cup" College Students Software Design Competition, “Pan-Pearl River Delta Amway Cup " Computer Works Final and so on. Meanwhile, the students also won 28 first prizes, 40 second prizes and 64 third prizes in the following provincial competitions: “Pan-Pearl River Delta Amway Cup " Computer Works Contest in Hainan Division, Hainan Skills Competition of the Colleges, “Higher Education Press Cup” National Mathematical Modeling Contest in Hainan Division, “Red Flag cup” National College Students Open Source Software Technology Competition in Hainan Division, “E-surfing Cup” First Hainan College Students Graphic Design Competition, National College Students Electronic Design Contest in Hainan Division and so forth. The college provides 59 different kinds of vocational skills certification and professional qualification examinations(different grades) organized separately by 10 vocational skills certifications bodies such as the Ministry of Labor and Social Security and the State Ministry of Information Industry. In recent three years, 87% of the students passed their first professional qualification exams and 95.52% have got “double certificates”. With the continuous improvement of students’ quality, the graduates’ average annual employment rate reaches over 92% and employers’ satisfaction rate to comprehensive quality and work competence of graduates reaches over 93.83%. The college is honored as “Hainan Excellent Unit in Graduates’ Employment” for four years in the row.
      In order to facilitate cooperation with private enterprise, the college has developed a pattern of mutually beneficial and win-win cooperation with almost 50 enterprise, including Hainan Ecology Software Garden, Muda Animation Co. Ltd., Hainan Yingli Technology Co. Ltd., Hainan Keli Electronic Technology Co. Ltd.(Chinese HP), Hainan Fenghua Animation Culture Co. Ltd., Hainan Tumou Planning&Creativity Co. Ltd., Shenzhen Wanquan River Technology Co. Ltd., Qionghai Chuihui Co. Ltd., BFA Hotel, Qionghai TV Station and so on.
     The college has received authorization to recruit foreign students. It also exchanges and cooperates all round with well-known enterprises and universities at home and abroad , such as Kauno kolegija/University of Applied Sciences(Lithuania), Bournemouth and Poole(Great Britain), Western New Mexico State University College(USA), TAFE NSW South Western Sydney Institute(Australia), Zhongshan University(China) and so on.
     The college has been well received by all circles in the society for its high-quality talent training and good reputation. It has been awarded as “National Civilization Unit", “National Advanced Enterprise in Arts Education”, one of the national pilot units of education informationization, “Advanced Enterprise on graduates’ employment services in Hainan colleges and universities”, “Hainan Model College in Running School According to Law ”, “Hainan Model College of Incorruption Culture ”,“Hainan Excellent Enterprise in School Safety Work”,“Hainan College with Parents’ Satisfaction”, “Hainan Top Ten Reliable Educational Enterprises”, “Hainan Model Training Base of High-tech Industry Talents”, “Hainan Advanced College of Innovative Talents Training”, “Hainan Qualified Colleges in Library Network Construction” and so on.
     Facing new challenges and opportunities, the college will adhere to the scientific development, strengthen the connotation construction, enhance the overall strength comprehensively and strive to make the college become one of the national models of higher vocational colleges.
