FORYUNNANUNIVERSITY

I.Qualificationofcandidate1.Non-Chinesecitizens.

2.Applicationshouldbeingoodphysicalandmentalhealth,goodcharacterandexcellentacademicperformance;

3.ApplicantsareinterestedinengaginginChineseLanguageEducation,teachingandinternationalpromotionofChineselanguagerelatedwork;

4.Applicationshouldbe16-35yearsofage.Chineselanguageteacherinpostcanbeupto45yearsofage,applicantsforBTCSOLscholarshipshouldbegenerallynomorethan25yearsofage.

II.ScholarshipCategoriesandApplicationConditions

III.Scholarshipcoverage

***nfuciusinstitutescholarshipincludes:tuition,accommodationfees,livingallowance(exceptfourweeksscholarshipstudents)andcomprehensiveinsuranceforforeignstudentsstudyinginchina.Livingallowancestandardisasfollows:

***Y2,500forBachelor'sDegreeStudents,One-AcademicYearstudentsandOne-SemesterStudents.

***Y3,000forMaster'sDegreeStudents.

2.YunnanUniversityprovidefreedormitoryforthestudents. Studentswhochoosetoliveoff-campuswouldbegivenaccommodationfeeof700yuan/month/personmonthlyorquarterlyafterapproval.

3.MTCSOLone-academic-yearstudents,one-semesterstudentsmustattendaChineseproficiencytest(HSK)andaChinesespeakingtest(HSKK)beforegraduation,theschoolwillgetthereimbursementofexaminationfeefromscholarshipstudents trainingfunds

4.Scholarshipstudentsarerequiredtoregisterattheschoolintime,otherwisetheywillbedisqualified.

5.Thestudentswhoareenrolledonthe15thdayofthemonth(includingthe15thday)willreceivethefullmonthlylivingexpensesorcanonlygetahalf.Livingexpensesofthegraduatesshallbedistributedtotheschoolforhalfamonthafterthedateofgraduation.

6.ScholarshipstudentswholeaveChinamorethan15daysforpersonalreasonswouldhavenolivingallowanceduringthedepartureperiod.livingallowancewouldbeunpaidtothestudentswhoquitordropoutofschoolbecauseofpersonalreasonsorseriousdisciplinaryviolations.

IV.TheApplicationProcess

1.Applyonline

ApplicantscanregisteronlineattheConfuciusinstatutescholarshipwebsite(outthe“ConfuciusInstituteScholarshipApplicationForm,”andattachelectronicscannedcopiesofthesupportingdocuments,

ApplicantscanvisittheConfuciusinstitutescholarshipwebsitetoinquireaboutandselecttherecommendinginstitutions

3.RecommendinginstitutionsreviewandrecommendqualifiedstudentstostudyatYunnanUniversity.YunnanUniversityexaminestheadmissionqualificationsofapplicantsandconductsmerit-basedpre-admission.

4.Hanbanwillconductanoverallassessmentofallapplicationsandadmitapplicantsonthebasisofcompetitiveselection.Normally,theadmissionresultswillbeannounced2monthsbeforetheschoolbegins.

5.Afterconfirmingtheintentionofstudyingabroad,ourschoolwillposttheAdmissionNoticeandJW202Formandothermaterialsforadmission.

6.StudentscanprintthescholarshipcertificateonlineandcometoYunnanUniversitytoregisterontime.

7.Accordingtothe<ConfuciusscholarshipAnnualEvaluationMethod>,Degreestudentshouldbeassessedattheendoffirstterm.

V.ApplicationMaterials

Recommendinginstitutionsneedapplycompleteandcorrectname、nationalityandpermanentaddressoftheapplicant.IfthefollowingdocumentsarenotinChineseorEnglishversion,notarizationdocumentsshouldbeprovided

1)scannedcopyofpassportphotopage.Applicantsundertheageof18shallsubmitproofofentrustmentsignedbyaguardianinChina.

2)ScannedcopyofyourHSK,HSKKresultreport(validfortwoyears).

3)Recommendationlettersignedbytheheadoftherecommendinginstitutions.

4)Notarizedthehighestdiplomacertificate(scheduledgraduationproof)andschooltranscript.

5)TheMTCSOLScholarshipapplicantsarerequiredtosubmittworeferencelettersfromprofessorsorassociateprofessors(inChineseorEnglish).Applicantswhocanprovidetheworkagreementafter graduationfromteachinginstitutionsarepreferred.
